Pint of heaven

as appropriate a start as any: to talk about Ginger Elizabeth's Chocolates.  Let's just get it out of the way.  This shop provides me with the majority of my excess calories, and tonight is the perfect example.

Sampling one of her homemade pints of ice cream.  but this one is Coffee Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.  no, not just cookie dough ice cream.  it's like that but triply addicting.  the coffee ice cream alone is one of the best i've ever had - just hits just the right level of coffee intensity. and the cookie dough isn't overly sweet, letting the chocolate chips stand out in such a perfect way.  the dough almost has a kind of whole-wheat heartiness to it, and the ice cream has a smooth, very soft, brown-sugary quality.

so...it's just fantastic and i wish i had four more right now.  or at least that they will continue to make this flavor.

this Coffee Cookie Dough has the most well-done proportions...which is just the epitome of a perfectly executed recipe.
